The annual trip to Kansas City gets better every year.  Much of our time was spent at the IHOP-KC Prayer Room, which is a 24 hour prayer and worship ministry that has been active for the last 11 years.  We were also fortunate to receive from the prophetic ministries of John O’ Shaughnessy, Jill Noble, and Dave Taylor.  Our trip included visiting Christ Church (Anglican), Ethiopian Christian’s Fellowship Church (Brethren), Church of the Resurrection (United Methodist), as well as the 1st years traveling to spend the night at a Benedictine Monastery.  The time away gave the group a chance to build deeper relational foundations amongst themselves, to quiet their hearts to better hear God’s voice, and to press into Him in prayer and worship.  All in all, it was a fantastic way to begin the new year.

What an amazing adventure.  The 2 weeks that we spent in Southern India challenged and stretched us in ways that we will never forget.  God moved, and His miracle working power was at the center of everything.  The lame walked, the captives were set free, and God’s word changed the atmosphere of entire regions.  The team made new friends and strengthened relationships with our ministry partners.  I can say without a doubt that I am so proud of the men and women of God that these interns and former interns have become.  If you are interested in giving toward next year’s trips, please contact Pastor Mat mthomason@newlifeid.com.  We look forward to seeing what God has planned.  Stotiram!

The first team of interns led by Pastors David and Nikki Warnick have returned safely from their mission to Southern India.  The impact that the trip had on Rachel, Jordy, and Josh has been infectious since their arrival home.  Each one has a new boldness for ministry and a love for the people of India that will last their lifetime.  I know this is just the beginning of what the Lord has planned for the New Life Interns, please pray with us that He would continue to reveal his purposes and to give us strength as we run this race.  We will have another update when the second team returns December 2nd.  If you would like to support our international mission trips in any way please contact Pastor Mat at mthomason@newlifeid.com

The end of the 2009-2010 Intern Year concluded in a trip to McCall, Idaho, where all the Interns/Pastors just got to hang out and relax. It was full of beach volleyball, swimming, movies, food, and of course crying. It was the end of two amazing years for interns Debby Hanks, Rachel Smith, and Brennan Johnson.

Tuesday night’s graduation ceremony was an emotional experience for each of us. As each Intern received their certificate of completion they shared what they had learned, experienced, and how they had grown as individuals.  We will never forget the friendships we built this year and the journey that God took us on to get there.

The interns are putting on an Art Auction to raise funds for our India and South Africa mission trips.  Their will be original art created by local artists and the interns themselves.  It will be held from 4-6pm @ New Life Community Church…6068 W. We were a part of the Face to Face conference in  Eastern Washington. God really moved and it was a privilege to be a part of Gods plan in the Moses Lake area. Big thanks to Pastor Jeff Wallace and Covenant Church for allowing us to partner with them. We look forward to our continued relationship with the churches and people of Moses Lake. May God continue to move mightily as we respond to His calling on our lives.
